Seven Thunder Named to All-Star Game

UPDATE: Voting for the two All-Star Game captains has opened! Vote once a day until January 4th. The Thunder are hoping to send goaltender Liz Knox as a fan-voted captain. Knox is the longest tenured member of the Thunder, the franchise leader in wins, excellent community ambassador, and will be attending her first ASG. Vote here!

The Markham Thunder are proud to have seven players selected to represent the team and the CWHL at the 2019 All-Star Game at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

Victoria Bach will be attending the ASG in her rookie year, having put up 10 points (8 G, 2 A) in 13 games played… and counting!

Megan Bozek has been selected for her second ASG, having also attended the very first event in December of 2014! So far this season Bozek has notched four assists and she continues to lead on and off the ice after being named an assistant captain.

Laura Fortino has been selected for the fourth time, appearing in all ASG events! She has amassed nine points (2 G, 7A) in the Thunder’s 13 games so far this season.

Liz Knox is headed to her first ASG in her seventh year in the CWHL. She has continually represented the Thunder with grace on and off the ice, including immersing herself in the communities of Markham and Brampton.

Jocelyne Larocque will take part in her fourth ASG! This season the defensive defender has stepped up into the play a lot more, working both sides of the puck, but it is still her strength on the blue line and in the room that makes our captain a star!

Jamie Lee Rattray has been named to her fourth ASG after her Jayna Hefford Trophy-winning season. So far the season she has put up eight points (5G, 3A) in 13 games and continues to be a pain in the side of the opposition every game.

Laura Stacey has been selected for her second ASG! She currently leads the Thunder and sits ninth in the CWHL with 12 points (4G, 8A).
