MARKHAM, ON – Feb. 27, 2018: Jocelyne Larocque, 2018 Olympic silver medalist, will return to captain the Markham Thunder. She will play her first games of the 2017-18 CWHL season during Rogers Hometown Hockey Weekend in Markham on March 3rd and 4th. This is also the only time for hometown fans to be able to see her play in person this regular season.
Larocque returns after winning her second Olympic medal (gold, 2014), and having been a part of the Team Canada leadership group. Larocque continued her steady play on the blue line, being called on to take on top lines and kill penalties. She was also on the ice for many goals, and notched an assist in the tournament. Larocque finished the gold medal game with the second most minutes played, displaying how key she was on that team. Last season with the Thunder, Larocque tallied four assists in 20 games, and was a plus eight.

The game in March 3rd will be live-streamed at thecwhl.com/watch.
