Brampton Thunder celebrates 50 years with the Brampton Canadettes

It was once again game day for the Brampton Thunder of the Canadian Women?۪s Hockey League; however, today also marked a special event. The Brampton Canadettes celebrated their 50th Anniversary. In celebration of this milestone, there was a pairing with a food drive game; anyone who brought a donation of a non-perishable item received free entry to the Brampton Thunder game. There was a fantastic turnout, and many fans came out in the winter weather to support their women?۪s hockey team. An enormous thank you goes out to the fans for their many generous donations showcased by members of the Brampton Thunder.

This day of celebration was filled with young, aspiring Canadettes running through the stands and cheering for the Brampton Thunder. The young girls also enjoyed some precious moments with their furry friend.

The Canadettes were also able to celebrate by playing hockey with two members of the Brampton Thunder; Jana Head (#14) and Becky Conroy (#13). The Canadettes ended their game with a group cheer led by Head and Conroy. Overall it was fun-filled day for all in attendance.
