Brampton Thunder announces Tyler Fines as new head coach

Brampton Thunder is pleased to announce Tyler Fines as it’s new head coach. Tyler, a resident from Orangeville, ON. has been a player, head coach, GM and owner within the Junior hockey community. Tyler’s playing career consisted of 3 years with the Orangeville Thunder in the GOJHL JR. B, and finishing up with the Fergus Devils Jr. C for 2 seasons.
After working on a cruise ship in Los Angeles after college, Tyler stepped back into the hockey world as a coach with the AA?۪s in
Orangeville. He then made the jump to University Hockey at the ACHA level for the Washington Huskies where they were able to win the PAC-10 championship for the 1st time in school history. After school returning to Ontario and accepting a position with the Orangeville Americans in the GMHL as Head Coach / GM.

Tyler received the coach of the year his first year in the GMHL in 2010 and runner up in 2012-13. Tyler decided to try ownership. After 4 years he sold the team and had a brief stint with the Mattawa Blackhawks in the NOJHL as GM.. In the 2014-2015 season, Tyler finished with the Temiscaming Titans of Quebec and won the GMHL championship going on a 25 game win streak with his arrival. Now a staff member with Pro Hockey Development Group and The Hill Academy, Tyler looks forward to coaching the Brampton Thunder for the 2015-16 season.
